Careys Plant & Fleet
The Carey Group owns and operates over 2,000 items of specialist plant and machinery and a fleet of over 500 trucks and vans, which plays a vital supporting role to all of the Carey Group companies.
All plant is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safe and effective operation, and is certified to the highest levels including FORS and CLOCS.
Health and Safety
We recognise that our first duty is to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of our people. This is achieved by training staff to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and high-quality work environment, providing adequate supervision at all times and communicating effectively at all levels.
Our in-house initiative Safe Home Every Home (SHED) is embedded in our culture and fully supports the ISO accredited Integrated Management System that includes ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001.
RDF provides a sustainable alternative to landfill, recovering residual waste as a valuable source of heat and power.
Our export of RDF to European energy recovery plants is carbon neutral as the highly efficient level of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation far outweighs the impact of transporting RDF to mainland Europe. Our energy recovery partners generate electricity, utilise heat for district heating systems or industrial applications and recycle the solid residues such as ash for road construction.
Quality and Business Improvement
Seneca is committed to supplying its energy recovery partners with high-quality fuel on time, every time.
We are dedicated to the ongoing development of our fuel production processes, supply chains and logistics systems to ensure that we can fully meet the demands of the market and provide real added value to our partners.
This has included recent significant investment in innovative logistic technologies and RDF production equipment that has enabled us to firmly establish Seneca as market leaders.
