Did you know that waste can be transformed into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF), fulfilling zero waste to landfill and reducing reliance on the burning of fossil fuels to heat and power buildings?

At Seneca Resource Recovery, our specialist fuel production facility in Wembley enables our customers to fulfil their zero waste to landfill ambitions by transforming various types of waste such as municipal, industrial and commercial waste into refuse derived fuel (RDF).

The resulting grades of fuel are used by our European partners to generate energy, bringing further environmental benefits by reducing reliance on the burning of fossil fuels to heat and power buildings.

Watch the short video below that shows how waste is tipped at our facility, shredded, sorted, bailed, compressed, wrapped and then loaded on to a lorry for export to one of our Energy from Waste partners across Europe, where it is then used to generate power and/or heat.
