We’re excited to announce ION Environmental’s latest project, Bow Street Magistrates Court, which will be transformed into a 5-star NoMad hotel located in Central London.
ION is conducting complex asbestos removal works alongside members of the wider Carey Group including, Scudder Demolition appointed specialist contractor for the enabling works, Careys Design Team, delivering construction methodologies and sequencing, Careys Civil Engineering, installing drainage and constructing a new basement and Seneca Resource Recovery removing all waste from the Grade II listed building.
ION is working to ensure that all asbestos materials within the building are safely removed. This is taking place across the three court rooms, loft spaces, basement, former plant rooms and roof, and requires fully sealed negative pressure enclosures to mitigate asbestos exposure to site personnel. Asbestos operatives are equipped with air fed full face masks and CCTV is in operation allowing ION’s work to be supervised externally.
The Group’s integrated approach to delivering this project is key to successfully completing the enabling works.
