For me its about shaping the direction of Careys, providing a clear legacy for the future. I see my role being a conscience around people decisions - both challenging and coaching the leadership team - and bringing a framework to our leadership and talent development.
One of the big challenges we face is that major projects continue to grow in number, size, and complexity. Success will therefore become more focused on embracing collaboration and alliances, and applying digital technologies. At Careys we are passionate about ensuring all our people reach their full potential as we continue to deliver for our clients.
Success has many facets but fundamentally, for me, it would include being crystal clear on our vision and strategy and helping everyone understand the part they play in delivering it - living the Carey Way and our values every day.
I am excited about working with such a great senior team, which is a fantastic blend of family members and independent directors - all focused on delivering value for the long term. Most exciting of all is the role I play in supporting leaders to continue prioritising culture as our number one Carey USP.
