At Careys Foundation we value seeing Carey Group employees applying their wider skills and talents to their volunteer opportunities. Showcasing their culinary skills Charlotte, Lisa and Sangita volunteered at Acton Homeless Concern.
Acton Homeless Concern aim to combat homelessness by providing food, clothing and companionship to the homeless or those inadequately housed. Serving between 250 – 300 meals every day, the charity provides a caring and safe environment for marginalised members of society and those in need of physical and emotional support.
Charlotte, Lisa and Sangita helped to prepare and serve lunch to those who came to the centre. They described their experience as very rewarding and a real eye opener, emphasizing their appreciation for the small things in life.
Thank you very much Careys Foundation for giving us the opportunity to volunteer.
