About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a highly experience Project Manager with a strong Infrastructure background for a high-profile residential project in Birmingham. You will have clear leadership ability and an exceptional work ethic. You are not only motivated to control the day-to-day functions on a project but can 'see the bigger picture' and have demonstrated the ability to pull your teams together against the odds through collaborative working.

Careys are looking for you to champion the Carey Way, Safe Home Every Day (SHED) and our valued initiative, ‘Golden Hour’ on this prestigious £multi-million project. We require experience in all aspects of infrastructure including roads, draining, groundworks, concrete frames, and utilities to run this project. You will oversee the management of our site operatives and be an important part of client meetings.

You will play a vital role in the success of a very diverse range of civil engineering projects. You are a successful planner, a supportive manager and above all, have the confidence to speak up when it comes to the drive for quality beyond excellence, with a focus on exceptional Health & Safety standards at the forefront.

Responsibilities

In alignment with the Carey Way and Careys Health and Safety system, SHED (“Safe Home Every Day”), the Project Manager will:

  • Support the Contracts Manager/Operations Manager (deputising when assigned or necessary) in helping to lead the construction of the allocated Project
  • Implement and control the quality, safety, engineering, design, logistics, material deliveries in accordance with project requirements
  • Deliver Project works “Right First Time” within time and cost constraints adopting the Carey Way and
  • Engage with ALL members of the project team
