About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a experienced Project Engineer with a strong civil engineering background for a high-profile residential project in Birmingham. You will have experience of coaching and mentoring a team as well as the ability to support the Project Manager across an array of tasks.


In alignment with the Carey Way and Careys Health and Safety system, SHED (“Safe Home Every Day”), the Project Engineer will:

  • Support the Project Manager, deputising when necessary, in leading the construction of the allocated project
  • Plan and control the safety, quality, engineering, Design and Temporary works, logistics and material deliverables in accordance with client and stakeholder requirements
  • Deliver Project works “Right First Time” and work within time and cost constraints adopting the Carey Way Engaging with ALL members of the project team

About You

You will possess a Higher level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering with M.I.C.E – desirable/ AMICE / IEng. You will also possess CSCS / IOSH / SMSTS.

You will be highly organised, with an outstanding collaborative work ethic. We require experience in all aspects of infrastructure including roads, draining, groundworks, concrete frames, and utilities for this project.

You will be an effective problem solver, team player and methodical proactive planner with the ability to programme / schedule.

Proven experience as Senior/Project Engineer on related type /scale of project is essential.
