Q&A's

Careys New Homes has a real culture of teamwork that is focused on building high-quality homes that we can have pride in handing over. To me, encouraging openness and honesty is a key part of this – it’s no good spotting problems and ignoring them if you can improve quality or customer satisfaction by speaking up.

It’s really just about making sure that we keep our promises and don’t let the customer down. Buying a new home is a really emotional experience – it’s often the biggest purchase that people will ever make and consequently it comes with a lot of expectations. I try to make sure that our customers are fully updated throughout the process, that they understand what is happening with their home and that they’re fully satisfied with their new purchase.

I think Brexit is going to cause some waves – our industry has faced a skills shortage for years and if the non-UK labour decides to head home, we’ll lose a lot of very skilled members of the team. As a result, it’s more important than ever for us to make sure that we’re engaging the team and looking after them so that they want to stick with us as we continue to grow.
