Careys Civil Engineering was contracted to carry out the groundworks and extensive hard and soft landscaping at the Tate Modern, the internationally acclaimed modern and contemporary art gallery located in Central London.

The materials used for this consisted of a mixture of tarmac, block paving, paving stones and Addagrip. The external works entailed works both around and underneath the Milllennium Foot Bridge, which was being constructed at the time. This required the close management of the interfaces between these elements.
