Careys Civil Engineering has a long-standing relationship with Sainsbury's Supermarkets dating to the 1970s during which time our retail teams have completed extensive packages of civil engineering, infrastructure, enabling and landscaping works across the Sainsbury's portfolio. This nationwide framework has included a construction programme of new and extended stores, plus the upgrade to petrol filling stations.

Our teams have delivered to each of these projects all site infrastructure, drainage, hard landscaping, roadwork’s (including S278 works) and the construction of superstructures with our skilled workforce and subsequently built up a reputation for quality, reliability and competitiveness.

In addition to the construction of stores and the corresponding infrastructure, we were contracted to construct and extend Sainsbury’s Petrol Filling Stations on a Design and Build basis as part of the following scheme:

  • St Albans
  • Hastings
  • Sevenoaks
  • Ellesmere Port
  • Rugby
