This month has seen Careys Civil Engineering start work on our latest residential project, Manchester New Square. It’s the first time one of our cranes has filled the Manchester skyline, we’re very excited!
Located within Manchester’s city centre, we will be delivering a wide package of superstructure works on behalf of Principal Contractor Lend Lease. Works include tower crane base anchor installation, hydraulic jump form works, post tension concrete slabs and placement of 10,200m3 reinforced concrete.
The new development will create over 350 one, two and three-bedroom apartments divided over three buildings on an existing 4 storey reinforced concrete basement. The ground floor will provide space for commercial use ranging from café’s, restaurants and new public space. The existing 4 storey basement will create parking for over 250 vehicles and cycles.
