Store Supervisor - (Lifting Tackle)

As Lifting Tackle Store Supervisor, you will be based in Careys’ Plant Yard maintaining the Lifting Tackle Store and other equipment. Carey construction projects will request various items of equipment and you will be responsible for getting the requested items ready including inspecting and checking they are serviceable and in good repair. A database of equipment will be maintained and updated recording the equipment’s location and inspection history.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out checks and thorough inspections of general lifting accessories including chain slings, webbing slings and wire rope slings to ensure that equipment used for lifting is in good working order.
• Carry out checks and thorough inspections of manually operated lifting equipment such as chain hoists, wire ropes, lifting and pulling machines and beam trolleys.
• Carry out checks and inspections of other miscellaneous equipment.
• Where a defect is identified with equipment, carry out repairs or dispose.
• Assist with repairs and servicing of lifting equipment where required.
• Maintain the lifting equipment database for tracking the equipment and its inspection history.
• Complete necessary paperwork and issue LOLER certification.
